Our training programme has been designed in collaboration with well-established training providers - Direct Partners - to help participants gain their CSCS Card while building the confidence, knowledge and practical skills required to succeed in construction industry.
Successful participants will be connected with recruiting employers and receive expert support from employability team to help them move into work.
Course content
Course will include:
Training to gain CSCS Green Card (Labourer) CITB approved certification
REHIS Health Safety and Environment training and test
CITB test booking
Support in CSCS Card application process
1:1 CV prep and mock interview
Help with job application
This course is fully funded; available to the City of Edinburgh residents, age 16 or over, not in full time education, with the Right To Work in the UK, confident in using English.
When applying, please select 'Construction' as answer to Question 25 in the Training Sectors section on the Application Form.

Where: 6-8 Dewar Place Lane, Edinburgh, EH3 8EF
When: 27 July - 7 August 2026, Monday - Thursday, 9.30am - 1.30pm
Delivery method: Classroom sessions daily, including trainer-led and online modules
Cost: Free
