We have partnered with Marston Holdings to deliver a vocational skills training for individuals interested in Parking Attendant job opportunities available across Edinburgh city.
This 6-day course, delivered by Next Generation Training, will help learners develop the professional behaviours, practical and technical knowledge and continuous improvement approach sought by the employer. The course includes on-site visit to employer's locations, practical training and interviews with Marston Holdings on successful completion.
This is a real opportunity to upskill and start working straight after the training!

Course content
Course participants will learn how to carry out parking enforcement in an efficient and courteous manner and enforce the Road Traffic Act 1991 in respect of parking controls and traffic regulation orders. The course will give all introduction on how to liaise with members of the public and give advice on parking issues and enforcement procedures. The course will cover:
Introduction to the role of Parking Attendant
Data Protection
REHIS Elementary Health and Safety
Customer Service principles
Conflict Management
CV and Interview preparation
On-site visit
The course is open to applicants: aged 18+, the City of Edinburgh residents, with the Right to Work in the UK, not in full-time employment or/and education, at least Intermediate level of English knowledge (speaking, writing and reading), at least basic numeracy skills.
Category B driving licence - desirable.

FIRST WEEK: Tue 17/11, Wed 18/11, Fri 20/11
SECOND WEEK: Tue 24/11, Wed 25/11, Thu 26/11
Times: 9.30am - 4.30pm
