Description
A widening gap exists between the skills of the current workforce and the new skills required for modern construction practices which includes advanced technologies, such as 3D printing, Prefabrication, Modular Construction and Building Information Modelling (BIM).The sector is required to demonstrate that it is promotes sustainable construction using environmentally friendly practices, including energy efficiency designs.
Examples of Advanced Training for this sector might include, but not limited to:
CAD for Construction, Construction Site Management / Supervision, Renewable (Electrical), Retrofit Coordinator, Health & Safety, Sustainability and Environmental Management, install and maintain new and existing green technologies including Solar PV, Electrical Energy (Battery) Storage and Electric Vehicle Charging Installations
